Dr. Engelking was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He served in the U.S. Navy for a few years and then attended college at California State University, Long Beach. He went on to pursue his dental career by attending Loma Linda University for both his DDS, and then his MS degree, which was a specialty in Orthodontia. He and his wife moved to the Bay Area in the 1980’s and started his private practice in Orthodontia in San Jose, taking over the practice of a retired orthodontist.
He and Linda have 2 grown sons who attended local schools in Saratoga and Santa Barbara. They have resided in Saratoga for 20 years and enjoy all the benefits of living in this area. They enjoy traveling, hiking and sightseeing in California and also in other countries.
Dr. Engelking is a member in good standing with the ADA (American Dental Association), the PCSO (Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists) and the AAO (American Association of Orthodontists). He has practiced for over 25 years now in his specialty and is familiar with all the current forms of treatment related to Orthodontia including: Invisalign, Damon technique, Functional Appliances, and Jaw Surgery complex cases. He enjoys treating both children and adults.
